Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito (right) cuts the ribbon at the grand opening ceremony of WHOIs DunkWorks facility earlier this summer. Helping her was Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MassTech) Deputy Director Patrick Larkin (left) and WHOI President and Director Mark Abbott. DunkWorks, WHOIs new rapid prototyping facility, was created to help marine robotics businesses in the region quickly take designs from concept to application. The makerspace is sponsored by WHOIs Center for Marine Robotics with funding from MassTech.
