A SOURCE OF HOPE
With a respect for and curiosity about all living things and their relationships with each other, Donna Chadderton has had a particular love of the ocean and marine biology. This led to Donna and her husband, Ron, becoming WHOI supporters in 2012, and immersing themselves in ocean science through campus tours for Members, WHOI publications, and online programs. In 2021 the Chaddertons made a gift to support Michael Moore’s pioneering work with ropeless lobster traps to help the endangered North Atlantic right whale population. Recently, inspired by new, higher rates of return, the Chaddertons funded a charitable gift annuity, which will provide them with income for life and eventually support whale research.
