La-a-adies and gentlemen! May I have your attention, please! Under the big top, the amazing John Kemp, head of deck operations-master of shipping scientific gear to and from ports; loading and unloading it on and from ships; assembling it before research cruises, operating it during cruises, and disassembling it afterwards-performs a maneuver from the top of the Camper vehicle to a ladder under the big top-the big white tent, specifically designed for high winds and polar conditions, where the Camper vehicle was stored between operations. The tent came down Friday, but it won't be shipped back home immediately. Oden's crew asked to borrow it to use on its upcoming research cruise to Antarctica.
