Caption from Oceanus magazine, Vol. 53, No. 1, pg. 34 & 35:
Remotely controlled underwater vehicles and gliders swim between and beyond the network of moorings in the Pioneer Array, a long-term ocean observatory that spans the edge of the continental slope off New England. Instruments on the moorings and vehicles continuously collect data on a variety of ocean conditions, which are relayed back to shore and available on the internet.
