Image of The Day caption:
In May, Hauke Kite-Powell of the WHOI Marine Policy Center convened a range of experts in a colloquium to discuss economic and policy aspects of U.S. seafood supply, trends in global seafood production from fishing and aquaculture, and tradeoffs between greater U.S. domestic production and continued reliance on imports. The meeting, the latest Morss Colloquium, included a public forum and discussion by (left to right at table) Kite-Powell, Michael Rubino, manager of the NOAA Aquaculture Program and Stefania Vannuccini of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, moderated by Mindy Todd, host of "The Point" on National Public Radio station WCAI.
