Caption from Oceanus magazine, Vol. 56, No. 2, Pg. 20:
Matt Long deploys a solar-powered buoy off one of the Elizabeth Islands in southeastern Massachusetts, which will help track the flow of temperature, salinity, pH, oxygen levels, and light in areas with natural seagrass beds. This information provides necessary insight into the health of seagrass beds and their ability to take up carbon.
