Date is unknown. Full notes say "Scientist aboard Glomar Challenger records significant data pertaining to core of ocean floor sedimentary material (in plastic tube) that has just been removed from the core barrel. The 400-foot, 10,500-ton drilling ship, designed by Global Marine Inc. for the exacting requirements of the Deep Sea Drilling Project, has full laboratory facilities for making exhaustive scientific studies of cores as soon as they are recovered.
