WCVB Boston's newsmagazine, Chronicle, came to WHOI to record an episode of the program.

WHOI engineer Amy Kukulya attaches a camera to a specially equipped REMUS 100 autonomous underwater vehicle while being filmed for the New England nightly newsmagazine, Chronicle, on Bostons ABC affiliate. Kukulya and her colleagues in the Oceanographic Systems Lab originally designed the vehicle to function as SharkCam, a robotic camera and oceanographic sensing platform to help scientists better understand the behavior and environment of sharks in the oceanthen modified it to track and film endangered sea turtles. The TV crew also filmed at WHOIs Ocean Science Exhibit Center and highlighted Splash Lab activities there. The segment on WHOI and Woods Hole will air Monday, May 1, at 7:30 p.m.
