Image Of the Day caption:
Noa Randall (left), a 2018 Summer Student Fellow (SFF), prepares a submersible thermometer to take the temperature of the water in Buzzards Bay from the research vessel Gulf Challenger, with guidance from WHOI researcher Phil Alatalo. Randall, a student at Smith College, was one of 33 undergraduates to receive a fellowship this year. The fellows come to Woods Hole to learn more about ocean science, gain hands-on experience in oceanographic techniques, and work alongside WHOI researchers, including Randalls sponsor, WHOI physical oceanographer Rocky Geyer.
