WHOI science writer Mike Carlowicz interviews NOAA scientist Sigrid Salo during a flight from Resolute Bay, Canada, to Canadian Forces Station Alert. The interview at 20,000 feet was part of the Polar Discovery outreach project; another installment of these "live from the poles" web events resume next week with an expedition to Antartica.
