Teachers Workshop featuring WHOI biologist Sam Laney.
Image Of the Day caption:
WHOI biologist Sam Laney talks to a group of teachers at the dock beside Eel Pond, the harbor in Woods Hole, Mass. The event was a recent teacher workshop on phytoplankton and ocean color, sponsored by WHOI and Woods Hole Sea Grant. Laney demonstrated changes in light from the surface to several feet deep by lowering an instrument that measures the intensity and wavelengths of light, sending the data to his laptop.
