Newly elected officers of the WHOI Board and Corporation presented Newt Merrill with a gift recognizing his eight years of service as chairman of the WHOI Board of Trustees. In October, Merrill passed the leadership torch to newly elected Chairman of the Board David Scully (second from right). Scully was joined by Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees Jeff Hughes (far left) and Steven Hoch, Chairman of the Corporation (far right).
