WHOI multimedia specialist Matt Barton installs a camera above an osprey nest outside of the Rinehart Coastal Research Laboratory on the Institution's Quissett campus. For the sixth consecutive year, the "fish hawks" (as they are sometimes called) have made a home in Woods Hole in preparation for a new clutch of eggs (and chicks). WHOI staff keep an eye on them each year, moreso out of optimism, a love of nature and springtime, and a spirit of conservation than for actual research.
