Image Of the Day caption:
Megan Behnke, a senior from St. Olaf College (left), and Lina Davidson, a junior from Barnard College got up close with the human-occupied submersible Alvin during its current maintenance period in Woods Hole. Behnke and Davidson are the first two participants in the new Semester at WHOI, a tuition-supported program for advanced junior and senior undergraduates majoring in science, engineering, or mathematics that features a significant research experience. Students have the option of taking specially designed ocean science courses or graduate courses for undergraduate credit. Applications are now being accepted for fall 2016.
