Sophie (left) and Nancy Edson await on the WHOI dock for the return of Jim Edson--marine meteorologist, husband, and father. A former WHOI scientist, now at the University of Connecticut, Edson works closely with his Woods Hole colleagues on the CLIMODE experiment. Edson, Terry Joyce, and other researchers sailed into Woods Hole on the research vessel Knorr on March 22, 2007.
