Image Of the Day caption:
After a tour of WHOI's research vessel Neil Armstrong, a group of friends of WHOI stands before the ship's name on the starboard bow: (From left) General Gordon Sullivan, retired Army Chief of Staff and a Life Trustee of WHOI, his wife Lori, and Ed OBrien, a local attorney and father of WHOI Dive Operations Manager Ed O'Brien, who is in charge of training for scientific diving at WHOI. The 238-foot Neil Armstrong, delivered to Woods Hole in 2015, can accommodate 24 scientists and a crew of 20 for up to 40 days at sea.
