Image Of the Day caption:
This year's Anything-But-A-Boat Race brought out a crowd of spectators in Woods Hole, Mass. on Sept. 16, 2018. Rules for the periodic WHOI community event stipulate that unboats must not include boat shells, surf boards, or other commercially available boat components or power sources. The race always results in creative nautical engineeringand names. On the far left, nearly out of the frame, is The Kitch 'n Sink with a single Viking crew member in view. The pink vessel is the Warrior Princess, followed by (left to right) The Galileo, Notorious RBG, Sons of Carpentry, Pineapple Basil, and the winning vessel, Bamboo Banger, in the forefront.
