Dual Deepworker, owned by Beta Maritime (Ray Dalio Co.) and built by Nuytco Research Ltd., underwent testing here at WHOI during an annual classification certification for Lloyd's Registry of Shipping.
Image Of the Day caption:
The Dual Deepworker, an innovative small submersible, can dive to 2,000 feet carrying two people and providing each person a rare, 360-degree view of their surroundings. The sub was at WHOI for an annual hull survey this summer, which included engineer Phil Forte (right) and contractor John Prince testing it off the WHOI dock. Built by Nuytco Research, Ltd., and owned by Beta Maritime, Dual Deepworker was previously aboard Alucia, a private vessel for which WHOI provides marine operations management support and periodically uses for research projects.
