Knorr departs Bermuda for cruise no. KN188-2.
Image of The Day caption:
Research vessel Knorr passes through a manmade channel out of St. George's in Bermuda during a March 2007 expedition to the Northwest Atlantic deep boundary current, lead by WHOI physical oceanographer Terry Joyce. Adam Seamans, a captain on the Knorr, said although the channel looks tight, he's always reassured that it's navigable for the 279-foot Knorr by the presence of large cruise ships.
