Caption from Oceanus magazine, Vol. 47, No. 1, inside front cover:
Speckled like giraffes, “flamingo tongue” snails (Cyphoma gibbosum) glide on the branches of a soft coral called black sea rod. The snails voraciously graze on coral polyps (white dots) and leave behind white translucent egg masses. The corals produce noxious chemicals to deter predators, but the snails have evolved biochemical counter weapons that detoxify the coral compounds.
