07 Annual Report caption:
Tim Eglinton (red cap) and Daniel Montlucon work to extract a sediment core from the bottom of a frozen lake in the Mackenzie River Delta in April 2007, as two Inuit guides look on. The goal of the project was to sample the soil-rich sediments on the lake bottom for clues to past climate change. The team is headed back to the region for further studies in 2009.
