The icebreaker Oden had a camera pointed to the ship's aft, so that crew members in the bridge could keep track of ice conditions. But a tent brought aboard to house the Camper vehicle blocked the view. So freelance engineer Frank Weyer offered to re-rig the camera on Oden's bridge to look down and provide a clear view of the aft. It took a fair bit of tracking and re-wiring of cables. But engineers actually enjoy doing that sort of thing.
