A copper ship's pot from Titanic's galley lies in the debris field, a third of a mile south of the bow. Strong bottom currents and particles in the water have polished the kettle so that it appears as clean as it was when the ship sank during its maiden voyage on April 15, 1912, bringing death to 1,522 passengers and crew. Thousands of artifacts from Titanic litter the ocean floor.
