Bruce Sutphen (pictured) and other members of the DEEPSEA CHALLENGER team worked at WHOI recently preparing the sub for transport to New York City over the weekend. On Monday, August 4, the sub will be on display in front of the American Museum of Natural History in advance of Friday's national release of "DEEPSEA CHALLENGE 3D," the movie that recounts James Cameron's solo dive to the deepest known point in the ocean. In 2013, Cameron donated the sub to WHOI so that technology he and his team developed could be adapted for use in other underwater vehicles.
