Camper comes up from its final dive shortly after 8 p.m. Aug. 1.The white winch (bottom center) pulls the cable around the block atop the A-frame to hoist the 2,812-kilogram (6,200-pound) vehicle. Note the white parts on the A-frame. Two 1.5-meter (5-foot) sections were added before this cruise to accommodate the 1.67-meter (5.5-foot) high Camper. The white tent (at right) is where Camper is stored between deployments. About an hour later, Oden set sail for home.
