THE LINDELL LAB GETS A HELPING HAND
Sometimes it takes a village to do research. Thankfully, Woods Hole is a place you can count on when times are tough. When the pandemic came to our shores, it stifled a number of plans, including assistance from collaborating institutions on dozens of projects. The Lindell Lab’s selective breeding program was one such endeavor. But members of the WHOI community rallied to the lab’s aid, donning masks and coming to work under open air tents. Together, this crew helped researcher Scott Lindell and his team sort through more than 2,200 blades of
sugar kelp.
