WHOI voluteers show a group of visitors how to pilot a remote-controlled submarine outside the Ocean Science Exhibit Center recently. The popular activity with be part of the Woods Hole Science Stroll this Sunday August 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to the free public event hosted by six local science institutions and featuring the submersible Alvin and other underwater vehicles, the NOAA research vessel Bigelow, science displays, animal touch tanks, and many different hands-on activities.
