Image Of the Day caption:
Undergraduate students in the WHOI Summer Student Fellowship (SSF) program prepare for a day at sea aboard the research vessel Gulf Challenger in 2018. Each summer SSFs come to WHOI to learn more about ocean science, attend lectures by Woods Hole scientists, and work alongside world-class researchers. Its also a tradition for students to get some hands-on experience with ocean sampling techniques, working with WHOI instructors: (back, far left) Dave Bailey and Taylor Crockford and (back, far right) Nancy Copley and Phil Alatalo. The students come from colleges and universities around the world.
