WHOI engineering assistant Ben Tradd and senior engineer and Jason program manager Matt Heintz align the remotely operated vehicle (ROV) Jason over its coupled payload basket during dock tests after the ROVs overhaul. Among other improvements, the upgrade increased the systems lift capability from 400 pounds to 2 tons of scientific samples and instruments from the seafloor.
