Caption from Oceanus magazine, Vol. 46, No. 2, Pg. 25:
TENSION MOUNTS––Meanwhile, MIT-WHOI graduate student Clay Kunz (center) and others on the autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) team were holed up in the AUV control van, calculating Puma's slow ascent, tracking its position, and nudging the vehicle via computer commands toward Oden. The drama took hours to unfold. Rob Reves-Sohn's cuticles paid a price. "I wish fingernails grew faster," he said. John Kemp (left) gets an update on the situation.
